There winds up being a lot of reading between the lines in this thing, and it's hard to say if she doesn't want to put pressure on someone to continue it or actively doesn't want it to continue (for artistic vision, etc.). I think you have to take her at face value, but one can hope. Lol

Bummer! It seems like such a good thing for the arts community and the city.

Nice! I'm in the "too many tabs open" phase. Lol But I definitely have a front runner at this point. I might need a lot more copper... I actually was kicking around GOAT ideas, but I think it would be a bit bankshot. Especially with how difficult it is to get fine detail into my pieces.

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 03/03/2026

I feel like I at least need a baseline idea to mull before I inevitably drop it for a few months. Lol

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

So many options in this vein. Lol I went down a little Goya rabbit hole last night, which is always a good time. Both his goat and sheep offerings were provocative (but don't lend themselves to my medium very well 😅).

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

Horse is harder to work with than you might think!

010

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

I kind of appreciate the flexibility between sheep and goat. Lol I think there could be some fun takes! Your explanation behind Picasso was a fantastic read, by the way! I don't think I got a chance to mention that.

010

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

I had a few options kicking around. I like one in particular, but I'll have to see how technically feasible it is.

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

Have you guys started thinking about ram/sheep/goat?

It's not a particularly popular spot, but there's enough info in the clue. It's visible from the sidewalk at the right angle, but not the most common angle. I'd say probably gone, but not guaranteed.

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

That's a big part of why I haven't joined. I don't need my name tied to all that. It's nice here though! Good vibes and not too hectic. You've been around a bit. You know.

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

You're welcome! You'll have to pardon that porosity. The first of a pour is always an interesting one. 😅

Ok, ok. Last hide of the season! This is an abandoned concept I carved up but didn't have time to pursue. This hide location felt fitting for my seahorse! Lol #monkeyshines2026

Last coin! I tried to come up with a fitting place to stash my last coin and couldn't come up with anything better than a nod to the pony express! Plus with that view... #monkeyshines2026

Fun fact, this coin was the first of my casting session, and my second to last to hide! #monkeyshines2026

Linc up with the trees in this park to find our next hide! #monkeyshines2026

Sun's out, birds are lively. Last call for my coins this afternoon! #monkeyshines2026

Thank you! It's been a weird year for us for all kinds of reasons. Hopefully we're in a little better place to go ham for next year!

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

The perspective totally got me! Nice one!

010

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 01/03/2026

Saw it was found, but we're stumped by this one!

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

I have a handful of my coins and a random carved wood seahorse that still need to go out tomorrow sometime! Stay tuned!

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

A weight has been lifted from my shoulders! Finally got one last night! Thank you so, so much to all who make this possible! Seriously, this is a special thing that doesn't just happen everywhere.

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

Aww, I'm glad! Congrats! Wouldn't be surprised if a rando got the first one pretty quick, though it was reasonably well tucked away...

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 28/02/2026

Back to everyone's favorite clue! This park couldn't Ferry me to glass, but maybe it can get you to some pretty aluminum? #monkeyshines2026

Despite a few Carr campers, I managed to drop off a coin to start Friday evening! #monkeyshines2026

Every bit helps! If next year truly is the last, I hope they're able to go out with a bang!

020

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

Just trying to give back a little to the event, however I can! We still have at least a quarter of ours left for this year as well. This year or next year, we'll be rooting for you!

050

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 24/02/2026

I think that's right (also technical merit). Lots of crap at goodwill was important to someone once. I have a hard time explaining the importance of monkeyshines to people who aren't in it. I suppose we had a lot of similar reasons, but we all get a little something different from it.

060

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 24/02/2026

That's so sweet of your super! Kind of a reminder too, that the thing is cool, but it's everything behind the object that gives it meaning beyond just being a cool item. Anyway, very cool!

120

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 23/02/2026

Haha! Ask and you shall receive! Congrats!

020

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 23/02/2026

Congratulations! That's a really cool one!

010

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 23/02/2026

Glass definitely has a presence to it! And it is fun to see people find it. It'll just be more fun if we have a piece in hand. 😅

060

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 22/02/2026

First of all, congrats! I've seen it in person, it's a beautiful orb! And it was nice to meet him! That was generous that he didn't want us to leave empty handed. :)

030

Caster Monkey @castermonkey.bsky.social · 22/02/2026

We're now up to 4 pieces of glass found in front of us! 🫠 Lol Congrats to the person we talked to. It was nice to meet you! Had to call it for today. Back at it during the week!
