Blank Street is US company that is aggressively expanding thanks to tens of millions from hedge funds. All the chains that you see popping up all over are backed by hedge funds - Gails, Buns From Home, Popeye's etc. Meanwhile independents in the rest of the hospitality sector are in a catastrophic decline as evidenced by the sudden closure this week of Coughlans Bakeries after 89 years. I boycott these hedge chains, personally.
