Here in Pinellas County, there are a ton of dropboxes around the county. Plus you can go to the website after and check the tracking so you know exactly when it's counted. For all our flaws, Florida is pretty good at the whole voting thing. 2000 was a bellwether moment.

This movie was surprisingly fantastic, I remember being pretty bowled over the first time.

Well I mean, there's cops and then there's the LAPD, the largest organized crime organization west of the Mississippi. Cops, firefighters and nurses tend to have each other's backs in most places.

We created gyms because modern day work no
longer required physical activity. Without exercise,
our muscles atrophy.
I predict we'll need gyms for our brains too, once Al
starts doing our knowledge work.

I honestly can't believe I actually just did this. 200 was hard like a month ago and I very nearly got 300.

30 minute peloton ride, 294 total output.

Yeah I was disappointed that my rental didn't come with one, should be standard practice I think. The experience of driving an EV is really all you need to be sold on one, though.

caseman @caseman.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Having multiple standards for chargers is dumb and hopefully everyone will be on the shared standard soon. It's still pretty awesome to charge a car at a fraction of the price of gas and make no new emissions. EVs go zoom too. So much torque.

caseman @caseman.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Note that the car this is based on can't use a Tesla station anyway. Source: I just rented a Kia Nero EV over the weekend and was surprised when I stopped at charging stations with only Tesla chargers. Not a huge deal but worth knowing.

Richie Floyd is my favorite "I met him before he was famous" guy because I know he is and always has been that dude. Every success he has is OUR success. Because he is exactly what you want in a leader.

And let us not forget, the stolen works of... Every author and creator living and dead? Just the biggest heist of intellectual property in the history of the concept? It's so blatantly awful on its surface without even having to think very hard.

I just repainted a whole house interior this year and it was maybe $30 a gallon for some matte white. Economy is too insane.

I enjoy the style of that section, it helps to take the edge off of the history it's covering because yeah. It's a lot.

Yeah I mean I can see Primetime's cast being good but the story isn't going to blow your hair back. It's just hitting people hard because of the subject matter, I assume. I'm sure I'll see both eventually but Digger I am more excited about.

010

caseman @caseman.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Whatever Digger is seems like a big swing. One of those love-it-or-hate-it types. Primetime is reviewing well on my letterboxd feed but seems like a stressful watch. Two pretty different films.

Gatherings, celebration, connection... This is the stuff of life. This is what we're built to do. Be together and celebrate life, celebrate each other. Everything else is secondary.

Way way away more than me, I wish my wife had the chance to have her time in the spotlight as it were. The bride is the real star of any wedding and my wife is a truly incredible wonderful woman that deserved to be there.

caseman @caseman.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I'm so unbelievably happy for the couple getting married today. They're the best kind of people and deserve every second of happiness. I just wish we'd had some of that.

caseman @caseman.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

People who should have been at that wedding are dead now. We're at least a decade older since 2020. Our kid is an adult with a job. We're never getting that time back, we'll never have the dream realized. It's bittersweet.

Attending the wedding of my wife's good friend up in PA today. First wedding we've attended since we got married at our kitchen table in 2020. There's a lot of resolved emotion in us over the wedding we didn't get to have because of the whole COVID thing.

It is National Poetry Day in the UK, so for my contribution, I humbly share one of my favourite poems of all time, written by Robert Florence,

BATMAN'S AFF HIS NUT
Batman's aff his nut
Have you seen the way he cuts aboot
Dressed up as a mad fuckin bat
Batterin guys
I was lit at:
"Mate, I'm worried aboot ye
I know your ma and da died
But everybody's ma and da dies
And we're no aw runnin aboot
Hookin muggers and
Kickin psychopaths in the baws."
And that was when Batman went
"Aye, but do ye ever feel like it?
Do you ever look at the world and feel like it?
Like having a big mad base under your hoose?
Do you ever feel like drivin a big mad motor
that turns intae a tank?
And leatherin fuck oot of guys aw night?
Scarin the fuckin shite oot of them?"
And that was when I was lit at:
"Aye. Fuck it. Ah dae."
And that's the Secret Origin of Robin
and everybody else.

This argument is "because stupid people exist we should boil everything down to the least common denominator" How well has that worked out every time it's been tried?
