2S-K adjusted her goggles as the base command gave the all clear as she looked at the enemy striker mech ahead of her. She gripped her black thumb mount as she called inside, “hear that Pip! That sounds like they’re giving the go ahead to us to me!” She listened to the chittering cackle of the nascent NHP as he adjusted the weapon output of the Genghis’s Plasma Thrower instead of earnest, “Let’s Burn This Place to the Ground.”

Exceedingly heated plasma shot out of the massive super heavy weapon, engulfing the enemy in super heat liquid. Surrounding trees lit aflame within the forest as needles and leaves became tinder to the heat as the mech quickly became reduced to slag.

… While they were commended by their commander for eliminating the enemy, the wildfire they caused in turn became a PR nightmare and an issue at large for the remaining Genghis Mk 1s still operational in Union Space. Thus 2S-K and P1P were transferred to the “Plenary Beach Magnitude Weapons Test Project,” under the Barbarossa line and duty stationed far out in the Calliope System on the Long Rim and Dawn line Shore.

Her husband was relieved she was no longer piloting the old rust bucket, but knew he would have his hands full now that she was back in artillery.
