Kinmokusei (キンモクセ), in English known as sweet osmanthus, fragrant olive and tea olive, was brought to Japan from China in the Edo period. The plant was used for both medical and culinary purposes, and also as a natural air freshener. The flower symbolizes truth and nobility.

The sand dunes at Stokksnes in south-east #Iceland (where you can see the magnificent Vestrahorn mountain) are stunning - as seen here in four different weather conditions. Always worth looking behind you... #AwesomeFoursome

A few more autumnal shots from my trip to the Westfjords of #Iceland in Sept 2019. #AwesomeFoursome

A small river surrounded by hills and landscape covered in red leaves.

A reflection shot of a headland jutting into a fjord, with a layer of fog above the ground - all reflected perfectly below. There is sun on the hillsides in the distance.

A winding road heading off into brown hills. The road can just be seen squiggling off in the distance.

A fast-flowing river surrounded by autumnal grasses with a big brown pointy mountain above and foggy hills in the distance.

First looks of Jacob Tierney’s “I'll Believe in Anything: The Making of Heated Rivalry Season 1 (The Annotated Scripts)” which details an extended scene of Shane and Ilya meeting for the first time via todayshow

11 EXT. REGINA-JUNIOR HOCKEY ARENA/BACK PARKING LOT - DAY
We got the boys to look younger mostly just through acting, through tracking the story and remembering. I would remind Connor Storie and Hudson how old they were at this point, or more importantly how long they've known each other.
Ilya is standing against a wall trying to light a cigarette in a wind tunnel. He hears a door open and turns around.
Shane is there. Shane pauses, but then bucks up the courage and just walks right over to him.
SHANE
Ilya Rozanov?
Ilya nods.
SHANE (CONT'D)
Shane Hollander.
He extends his hand. Ilya nods again, kind of staring at him, before shaking his hand.
SHANE (CONT D)
wanted to introduce myself.
Ilya nods and goes back to lighting his smoke. Shane notices they are standing under a No Smoking sign.

SHANE (CONT' D)
I'm not sure you're supposed to smoke here.
His butt finally lit, Ilya looks at Shane, who nods up to the sign. Ilya looks at it and exhales. He's gonna smoke.
SHANE (CONT' D)
I'm surprised.
Shane gestures at the cigarette. Ilya shrugs.
ILYA
Ок.
Pause. Shane can't help it.
SHANE
You're an awesome player to watch.
ILYA
Yes.
Shane laughs a little, almost against his own will. Ilya smiles, it's almost sly. Shane waits for Ilya to say it back. It's not happening. Then Shane decides something. He leans against the wall too, keeping his distance, but staying.
SHANE
Are your parents here?
Some of this dialogue was cut during the edit. This was shot exactly as scripted, and then we cut it down. Our editor Arthur Tarnowski would present an option of what a scene looks like at a minute and a half, or three minutes, six minutes, or whatever it was.

ILYA
No.
SHANE
Oh. That must suck. With Christmas and all.
ILYA
Christmas is later in Russia.
SHANE
Oh. Cool.
Another long, cold moment. Shane shivers.
SHANE (CONT' D)
It's cold, right?
ILYA
Yes.
Shane can barely look at him, but Ilya can't help but keep glancing at Shane. Silence. Shane tries yet again but:
SHANE
Ottawa next year.
He looks at Ilya, Ilya looks at him, but says nothing.
This was quite a long scene as it was originally scripted, and then Arthur and I decided together how to cut back.
SHANE (CONT'D)
My hometown. And the International Prospect Cup. I mean, next year the International Prospect Cup will be in my hometown. Which is Ottawa.
Ilya can't help but smirk a bit at Shane's nerves.

More previews of the annotated scripts from Jacob Tierney’s book I’ll Believe in Anything. “Jane and Lily♥️” via heatedrivalryhq

"OLYMPIANS": EPISODE 2, SCENE 14
INT. CONDO-BEDROOM-NIGHT
Shane is in his bed with his phone.
He's looking at pictures of Ilya - playing hockey, with some girls at a club, shirtless... He starts typing:
JANE: And what do I get if Montreal wins?
He doesn't have to wait long.
LILY: Same thing. Kissy face.
Shane doesn't answer, but he blushes.
BLACK
SUPERIMPOSE: OCTOBER, MONTREAL, 2013
In the book, Rachel Reid skips two years, and I had to make up that time and problem-solve in real life, because I didn't know what else to do with it. So that's why I came up with this idea of Shane and llya texting for two years, trying to see each other but having schedules that don't work. The problem was also rooted in a bit of timidity on Shane's part. I thank Rachel because it gave me a chance to use Wet Leg's "Mangetout."

"OLYMPIANS": EPISODE 2, SCENE 57
We cut back to the TV - and see the Cup being handed to Ilya Rozanov. His face is red with exertion and joy and so much rage. He lifts the Cup above his head and screams, tears pour down
his cheeks.
We cut back to Shane. He's crying too.
I don't think Shane knew he could be this happy for Ilya, and yet there he is, being a great supportive partner in a way he doesn't even know that he is yet. It was a moment of unexpected and private tenderness, a moment that I think is so revealing.

"OLYMPIANS": EPISODE 2, SCENE 82
INT. SHANE'S CONDO-LIVING ROOM-NIGHT
Ilya is walking towards him smiling.
SHANE
You asked.
ILYA
No I didn't.
And then Ilya takes his face and kisses him. Shane melts. They part and look at each other.
ILYA (CONT.)
(tenderly)
So where do you want me? On the couch? In the kitchen?
The interesting line to walk with Ilya is that he feels so much more than he lets on, and he is ultimately so careful about protecting himself. I wanted to see those cracks emerge early on because there's a lot of debate about who falls first. I think they fall at the same time, and it's instant.

"OLYMPIANS": EPISODE 2, SCENE 88
SHANE
Your cab is definitely here.
Ilya has been slowly leaning down this whole time and kisses Shane softly on the mouth. Shane can barely kiss him back through his wide smile.
Connor and Hudson did this scene a few different ways, and I ended up using the sweetest one. I made that choice a lot throughout because their tenderness was so special, and in a show that relies so heavily on behavior and subtext, I loved any little moment where they were unguarded and enjoying themselves even if their characters regret it later. I kept them all in, because we are making a love story here, and it's important to thread in that tenderness, especially after a really physical sexual scene like that.

A beach of black pebbles taken from a very low angle. A small plane of the pebbles is in focus in the middle, with the others surrounding it blurred and looking golden in the late afternoon sun.

A big wave comes crashing in on a steep black pebbly beach, with the spray floating up the beach across some jagged stacks.
