So apparently when the cat is incessantly yowling at the top of his lungs for no reason at all - he's actually yelling : Open the damn window woman I want my birds! Ah....silence. he's now in a staredown with a particularly mouthy crow but hey that's life. I should give them names...

We're not in the habit of shaming ourselves just because. When shame was used to control us growing up, we often internalize it as our go-to for getting ourselves to take action. Working to change that means developing more effective, humane self-motivational strategies.

Fact: trauma survivors tend to assume way too much "responsibility" for our feelings, reactions, & events in our lives than is appropriate. We would MUCH rather feel guilty than powerless. The trope of survivors leaning into "blame" or "victim mentality" is a pernicious myth.

Concept- Teaser Poster for C.H.a.S.M. with @balcearts.bsky.social I am exceedingly proud of this poster won't lie. Graphic Design is a hobby of mine. Plot Summary in Alt text! :D #Webtoons #webtooncanvas #sciencefiction #webcomic

Following an apoloyptic alien invasion that has effectively brought Earth to its knees, humanity is driven to the one place the menace only known as the "Swarm" can't seem to reach.

The ocean depths.

As Adam Valere, Evelyn Noire and Noah Harrison join the other survivors who have boarded a mysterious vessel only known as the SS C.H.a.S.M to escape the carnage above, the question yet remains...

Is all as it seems or is there somethjng sinister lurking beneath the surface?

"Do I know you?"

"...now you do."

****

Poster of upcoming science fiction webtoon canvas project featuring an underwater background with bubbles going towards light and the cryptic words : " Do I know you?" - "Now you do." :: the tagine for the project as a whole.

Introducing my latest collaborative webtoons project with @balcearts.bsky.social CHaSM: A psychological horror science fiction drama and its main cast Adam Valere, Noah Harrison and Evelyn "Evie" Noire. #webtoon #webcomic #conceptart #Sciencefiction #graphicnovel

Adam Valere:

A rough around the edges Bostonian and Proud to hail from the iconic "North end" - this musician and software developer has a snark to him alongside his brilliant million dollar smile was making him quite popular in his new home in San Francisco...

And then the aliens invaded. Rude.

Now he's stuck in the world's fanciest tin can going stir crazy in the depths...

At least... that's what they want you to think.

Adam has a secret.

And he knows they know he has that secret.

And he will fight tooth and nail to protect that secret.

Noah Harrison is not having a good day.

No he really is not. One second he is standing watching a boating show with his companions...friends... acquaintances(???) - the next he apparently decided to play hero, got in a wrestling match with an hen got smacked in the head with a brain fryer club!

....because this poor guy has absolutely no memories whatsoever.

Damn hero complex.

Except.... strangely enough there is this oddly...familiar sense to that one girl...you know the one who he caught her before she fell...

Why does it seem almost like... he knows her?

And that... other man... why is he familiar too?

Could they....know who he is?

Evelyn Noire is tired.

She's just so tired, she just wanted to see the sea lions is that so - WRONG?!

But no, now this shy young woman who would pay a good amount of money to just be invisible has become known as the "fainting girl" after witnessing a *whale* through her *window*

Who could really blame her?!

And why is this Adam guy looking at her so darn *amused*??

Does she even know him???

....seriously.... does she?

Why is it that something constricts in her chest when she looks at those music notes on that man's wrist...and when she meets his too fervent gaze?

Why is she... "la sirena" to him?

Also : I guess I'm back in Townsville because... spite is a helpful tool to get a stubborn muse's blood flowing. Do i already have a plot? Yes. Is it outlined? Yes. Is it trying to salvage that train wreck of a leaked script and trailer. Also yes. IT HAD POTENTIAL DARN IT Also yes it is Reds

I have thoughts over this train wreck of a failed [ Thank God] adaptation of my most beloved nostalgia watch.

But I've also healed quite a bit so I'm making a return to Townsville briefly.

Stay tuned I guess
