Thanks to my friend for the reminder it’s time for another listen to Elizabeth Gilbert’s fabulous Big Magic. Always the boost of confidence you need.

In the grand scheme of things having my car in the shop isn’t a huge deal. But it’s a welcome distraction from everything else. Every cloud has a silver lining? 😏

Scheiring: "A key underlying story is that media owners, both foreign and domestic, largely capitulated individually rather than mounting collective resistance, which enabled Orbán's systematic capture strategy." /end

A new design for a surface pattern challenge. Seems trivial in this day and age. But time spent making art of all kinds is always time well spent. This design is available in my @spoonflower-social.bsky.social shop in 30 fabric types and 7 wallpaper types.

Dark gray and white hand drawn ogee pattern wallpaper on a bathroom wall.

Making time to celebrate the fact that my baby brother is 57 today. We’re pretty the last two standing from the original bunch. He’s not physically nearby but we’re always there for each other.

I design fabric and wallpaper when I’m not doomscrolling or working at my day job. Colors make me happy. Going to share here as a bit of a timeline cleanser.

I hate that I now assume the worst when people don’t discuss their politics. It’s important to know if someone is on the correct side of history.

Follow the money. This isn’t a new idea by any means. Every single investigation by a reputable publications I’ve read comes down to money. Money is not the end all be all of the universe. Clearly, rich people are not smarter than the rest of us.

Thankfully, no fire in my part of LA. But the wind is something else! Been here since 1981 and cannot recall winds this fierce. Stay safe everyone!
