Now published in Molecular Metabolism, improved by the helpful reviewers! We hope to continue to leverage the #zebrafish to understand the neurometabolic and hormonal regulation of appetite and beyond! Read the full article here: www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Our preprint is out: following up on our previous work on the zebrafish lateral hypothalamus, we do a deep dive into the molecular identities of #zebrafish LH cell types and compare them to mice. We found a novel conserved population expressing the growth hormone receptor, read to find out more!

Truly enjoyed the scientific and social interactions at #KSNeuroimmune2025 in Whistler. Besides presenting our work & talking science, I went rock climbing with PhD student Lynette! We also hung out (a lot) with @haesemeyerlab.bsky.social & the #zebrafish crew, including a nice hike to Lost Lake!

It's been a busy few months, but one of the highlights was the jointly held @sfnsg.bsky.social annual symposium & Singapore Symposium on Brain-Body Interactions. Especially fun was hosting @micahgallen.com, Gerald Pao & Helen Hou in Singapore! Took them for a "crabby" meal followed by a scenic walk!

Hello world, I tried this previously with Mastodon but it didn't quite work out, Bluesky looks promising though... so many familiar names and faces :) I'm interested in science, cats, and good news. Happy to connect you with the neuro or zebrafish research communities in Singapore!
