I’m pleased to share that FUTUCA, a research project on the Future of Blue Carbon in Seagrass Meadows of the Andalusian Atlantic Coast, is now underway. Returning to Andalusia, my home region, to work again with these ecosystems is both meaningful and motivating. #BlueCarbon #Seagrass

🥳 A second paper this week from PhD candidate Márcio Martins from @ccmar.bsky.social ! 🌍 The first-ever blue carbon assessment in West Africa. 🇲🇷 At Banc d’Arguin, Mauritania, we measured carbon storage & burial in seagrass meadows and used sedimentary eDNA to trace carbon sources since 1900. 👇
