Can’t stress this enough: this was how this movie is meant to be seen. It is overwhelmingly beautiful in its intended form (70MM film). The aspect ratio changes become even more important. *That* scene is more powerful, more poignant. Remmick is more terrifying.

In other not Sinners movie news, I took my nephews to see Minecraft last week and I have never felt so confused in my life. It was basically like watching a foreign film with no subtitles and all of the people you were with are cheering and fist bumping at the jokes you don’t understand.

My sister and I were taught how to use Narcan and had it in the house because we needed to know how to administer in case my mom OD’d on one of the many pain meds she was on, including fentanyl. Having it in a home or at schools saves countless lives every year.

There is only one theater in Dallas playing the 70MM version of Sinners. There are several IMAX versions but not 70MM. So I looked at the seat situation all weekend at this one theater and EVERY showing (like 10am-10pm) has no seats except for the front row. This is movie is something special.
