I’ve been making an effort to watch more #animation and stumbled onto “La Noria” tonight. Absolutely beautiful story about a grieving boy.

Through great pain can arise great art. I need this dose of La Noria, especially today with so much being torn down around us and so much being taken. youtu.be/w9x3-gGGxqk?...

The final season of WondLa is officially up for consideration for the Children’s & Family Emmys, with voting opening today, September 24th. I wanted to share a mashup from one of the final two episodes I had the privilege of directing, alongside an incredible crew at Skydance and ICON in Vancouver.

After watching Ratatouille one million times, Chef Skinner is my favorite character. His animation is so good. He’s a cutie. I hope he managed to have a successful frozen food business after the events of the film

I’ll be talking about 765874 on Friday at RenderCon. In 2022, I began a collaboration with OTOY, The Roddenberry Archive, Paramount Pictures as a freelance director. What started as a series of tests with an incredible team evolved into Star Trek short films. For more information: rendercon2026.com

I was asked last year to put a reel together for a ComicCon conference in Spain. Recently I got carried away and included some of my recent work with a track of one of my favorite bands. All work in the reel copyright Skydance, OTOY, Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers and Nightwheel Pictures.

Spoilers The 2024 Star Trek short series 765874 is interesting for a lot of reasons and unfortunately I don't think I can fit my thoughts on it in a single skeet and I hate threads. It exists though and you can watch it on YouTube.

A picture of Pike's Enterprise (slightly different from Kirk's) from the original series next to the NASA Enterprise space shuttle both are "landed" in San Francisco on Earth and being used as museums.

A picture of the saucer section of the Enterprise D crashed on the planet from that movie where that happens, redone with new graphics.

A picture of serial number 765874 Yeowoman Colt standing in front of a screen at the Daystrom Institute possibly the space station where Kirk's body is located.

I haven't seen Discovery outside of a few episodes so I don't know who this alien in a season 1 & 2 Next Generation era uniform is but he's apparently from there. He's standing a a park and looks grumpy.

Just finished watching the third season of Wondla on Apple TV, and I think it's very good. It feels like it has gotten a bit better with each season, and this is such a good conclusion to the story. Rating: 8.4 out of 10.
