An update today for IPS watchers: IPS deputy superintendent Andrew Strope is taking a leadership position with the Indianapolis Public Education Corp. That's the new group that will increasingly oversee transportation and buildings for IPS and charter schools. More here:

Of note: David Harris was selected to chair the new IPEC board. Harris is a key figure in the Indy charter movement. He was charter schools director under former Mayor Peterson & founded The Mind Trust. Harris resigned his board seat w/The Mind Trust today, per a statement from the nonprofit.
