carkus8 @carkus8.net · 10/10/2026October traditions I’ve adopted over time: watching Over the Garden Wall, ParaNorman, and Night of the Living Dead. (I have Romero’s entire franchise now!) I also like to play The Walking Dead Telltale series, too. This year I’m replaying the second game as well as Michonne. 120
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 06/10/2026someone on the runescape subreddit posted about having 30,000 in the game and... i genuinely think that's more hours i've put into playing every video game ever. yeah, i'd be mad, too 010
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 01/10/2026My September game was The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages! This was my FAVORITE Zelda game as a kid, so it was AWESOME to revisit it. In comparison to Seasons, Ages is the more creative game. It feels more original with its puzzles, and time travel is just cooler than changing the weather. Sorry! 100
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 25/09/2026Jagex posting how RuneScape: Dragonwilds is not living up to their visual expectations on the Nintendo Switch 2 is so funny to me because I genuinely did not notice any major issues with resolution or visual fidelity lol 010
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 17/09/2026i already post basically my every thought regarding video games on here but i think i'mma try using my tumblr blog/website a bit more 010
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 16/09/2026Ok I’m having an amazing time playing RuneScape: Dragonwilds already. Who could have ever guessed I’d be woodcutting on a Nintendo Switch 2 one day? Certainly not me when I was in 8th grade! 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 10/09/2026Crobat, my second oldest Pokémon on GO from 2016, has finished hyper training and is now a hundo :) 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 08/09/2026I finally finished the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons!… so now I can start Oracle of Ages like I originally intended. I never played it as a linked game before, so I thought it’d be fun—especially since I went and got all of the rings possible 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 02/09/2026Hehe my current save file of Oracle of Seasons using a Hero’s Secret from a save file from the Switch. While I am playing on an emulator, I did put that file on an actual cartridge so I can get the GBA exclusive rings. Later I’m gonna use ring secrets to get those rings back onto the Switch lol 100
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 02/09/2026for a long time, i was really resistant to emulators but i gotta admit, once the delta emulator dropped and i started using operators from epilogue, my physical game collection exploded. i bought so many more games than i ever would've considered and i plan to at least try them all. i won't resell 000

carkus8 @carkus8.net · 01/09/2026I wanted to play Zelda game, so I booted up what I thought was a linked game of Oracle of Ages. Turns out I was playing a hero’s game instead. I forgot I had played through Seasons as a linked game already lol. So I’m playing through Seasons to get a code for Ages lmao 100
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 24/08/2026Wild to see Animal Crossing: New Horizons fall one more slot thanks to Pokopia. I know it’s only a matter of time before Pokémon Legends: Z-A overtakes it as well lol 100
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 23/08/2026Saw someone comment on a thread saying that it’s okay to pirate games not available for sale, such as every Pokémon game from the 3DS and before. Somehow, I also think the Venn diagram of people who support that idea and the people who didn’t wanna pay for FireRed/LeafGreen is a circle 010
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 14/08/2026Okay, so since I started collecting video games again, I played through all of the main series Pokémon games. By now, it's been a few years. And over time, I wanted to create a living dex where Pokémon come from their original debuts. I haven't been working on that project much since I've been... 100

carkus8 @carkus8.net · 13/08/2026When I was 8, I was filling out an “about me” questionnaire for my third grade teacher. I wrote that I was “good at playing video games.” I would then spend the next two decades proving myself wrong ✌🏼 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 13/08/2026Y’all ever catch three hundos in a row? Lol Wildest two minutes of my Pokémon GO life. What good timing for that guaranteed hundo Mewtwo 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 12/08/2026Still thinking about how as soon as I was able to write as a kid, I immediately started talking about video games lol 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 11/08/2026I am SURE there’s a photo of me somewhere playing video games as a kid. I have yet to find it but I am almost positive there’s one somewhere 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 11/08/2026I have been playing Bloons TD6 on and off for years. Mostly on mobile, sometimes on Steam Of course, when the Switch version came out, I hopped on that IMMEDIATELY Today, I finished the first 6 maps on every mode! I can’t wait to feature this game since I already did the first two entries lol 110
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 10/08/2026for my yearly wrap up videos, this is the most amount of work i put in ahead of time lol i'm trying to get the most out of my free time since i'm about to have none at all 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 10/08/2026haha the notes i took at the beginning of the year with games i wanted to play this year are absolutely NOT the games i played at all and have no intent to play at this moment lol 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 06/08/2026I actually do wanna go back and play those Dark Souls games eventually. I actually feel like it’s more likely after starting this game lol 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 06/08/2026A flaw in me that I recognize is that I truly love the things that I love and it’s easy of me to get defensive about those things. I recognize there’s a lot of genuine criticism and even that personal opinion has its place. I also think people just love to hate things, and ironically, I hate that 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 06/08/2026I understand what people are saying about Beast of Reincarnation, but as someone who’s never played any of the games mentioned, I’m having a great time. Maybe it is a good thing that I only ever played the very beginning of Dark Souls III. This game matches my skill level lol. 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 06/08/2026God, I love Futurama. The new episodes still know how to make me laugh 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 06/08/2026huh, i played a lot of game boy games last year. this year? not so much. maybe i'll sneak in oracle of ages or something since i somehow also haven't played a zelda game 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 05/08/2026Reading anything about Beast of Reincarnation sucks because comments are full of misinformation and bad faith takes on Game Freak, and I can’t distinguish who’s actually played any of the games being discussed lol 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 04/08/2026i finished chapter 1 of Beast of Reincarnation. so far, i'm having a blast. i'm super bad at these kinds of games, but at the very least, this one is super accessible for me 000
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 04/08/2026My superpower is that I know that I’m biased and that I’ll enjoy any game that Game Freak makes. 100
carkus8 @carkus8.net · 04/08/2026it’s probably because i’ve just been kinda lonely the past week but i’m having a good time popping dvd’s on the crt in the evenings. makes me glad i have a tiny little collection 000
