Or when you have to pay for a housekeeper for Disability-related reasons (like terrible executive functioning). Or so many other possible things folks often consider luxuries but actually make a lot of Disabled people's lives possible.

Or when your diet costs more because you can't just do it the least expensive way for Disability-related reasons. Or when your electricity costs are higher because you're home all the time or you need 24/7 medical devices that are constantly pulling power or you require a very specific temperature.

This is a huge failure of understanding. CripTax is not just healthcare costs. It's also the costs of accessibility when accessibility is considered a luxury. Like when you have to pay for grocery delivery because you can't get to the store to shop in person or do pickup.

I think a lot of people talk about/joke about comphet in regards to media and "that one guy" but shy away from discussing how it's often harmful, depressing, and distressing. Not to mention how comphet can influence risky behaviors & self harm.
