For over a decade, Cards Against Humanity has funded a yearly scholarship for young scientists called the Science Ambassador Scholarship.

We’ve spent millions of dollars helping smart, motivated young people get real degrees in fields like astrophysics, computer science, and bioengineering. We do this because we think scientific progress actually fucking matters for the future of humanity, unlike the rat-brained psychopaths who currently oversee America’s education infrastructure.

To apply, students upload a 3-minute video explaining a topic in science they’re passionate about. We don’t care how high-tech the video is—we just want to learn something. Videos are posted publicly to YouTube, flooding our channel with thousands of enthusiastic young scientists talking about fascinating shit they love.

Submissions are judged by a board of STEM professionals with advanced degrees, including researchers, educators, doctors, and executives. Winners each get $20,000 in tuition, one-on-one mentorship, and a professional development stipend.

Because there’s a staggering gender gap across so many STEM fields, this scholarship is open to women and non-binary applicants—with the goal of changing the public perception of what a scientist is supposed to look like.
