The relief that @gmtgames.bsky.social Mr President - a game I’ve been after for ages - just fits on the jigsaw mat I use for #boardgames! Means I can tuck it away between sessions. With limited space and a family I’d have struggled to find time and space to play it otherwise #soloboardgames

The celebrity who has had the most positive impact on my life in the last few years is @pierrenovellie.bsky.social for his excellent book Why Can't I Just Enjoy Things. The celeb who has had the most negative impact on my life in the past few years is also Pierre for making me aware of Balatro.

Bit late to the party, but flipping heck the #gijoe deck builder by @renegadegamestudios.com is good. I bought it just a week ago then ended up in a games shop a few days later and bought 2 expansions and just ordered another. The Cold Snap expansion is just amazing. #soloboardgames #boardgames

So here in Australia I now have to give my personal data to a random 3rd party company to subscribe to a Substack for @pnparcade.bsky.social (a site to download print n play games). But it's fine because they delete my data "instantly after 7 days"... So not instantly then. #Persona #ageverification

Got #marvelchampions Civil War expansion for Christmas. Great to see @fantasyflightgames.bsky.social switching to using paper to wrap cards and small tags to seal boxes rather than using cellophane. Not sure how much it adds to the cost but would love to see this more from other publishers.

I love learning and playing new #boardgames but there are some that I go back to again and again and again. #Scythe #RobinsonCrusoe #MarvelChampions #SpiritIsland I'm 99.9% that #SlayTheSpire will be one of those games too. What's everyone else's #foreverGames? #soloboardgames

I am really enjoying Fate of the Fellowship by @mattleacock.bsky.social I managed to get it for a steal as the box was a bit damaged. I'm usually playing solo 3 hander (I haven't tried proper solo rules yet) and I finally beat the game yesterday! #LotR #FateOfTheFellowship #soloboardgaming

One of my favourite things is buying a new #marvelchampions deck, sleeving it and reading each card before playing. I always play a game with the pre-con for better or for worse so I can play every card. Just need to pick a companion and a scenario now… #boardgames #soloboardgames

@shawntomkin.bsky.social Thanks for the printer friendly update version of the #ironsworn Lodestar. I was going to ask if it would be possible to get that at some point.

Playing #ironsworn - in a fight with a dangerous enemy. At 0 health, -4 momentum, 1 spirit. Finally I get a break and gain initiative. I roll to secure an advantage and roll 6+3, as good as it gets and…. double 10 on the challenge dice. This game hates me #soloboardgame #ttrpg #solorpg

The #RobinsonCrusoe Mystery Tales expansion I ordered on sale is in the post. I have all my fingers crossed that it arrives before the long weekend or it won't be here until at least Tuesday. #boardgames #soloboardgames

About halfway through a 4 handed #soloboardgame of #spiritisland. I’m doing a terrible job at managing energy so haven’t managed to get and major powers yet. Managing to keep the centre pretty tidy for now though.

Managed to win a solo 3-hander against #spiritisland and now I feel like my brain is going to melt out of my ears. It’s so satisfying to shove invaders into the ocean for Ocean’s Hungry Grasp to turn into fear and energy #soloboardgames

I'm seeing lots of #finalgirl from @vanrydergames.bsky.social chat on Bluesky at the moment which is excellent because it's an excellent game and pretty much the best solo-only game I've ever played

Looking forward to learning about how Ukraine is to blame when Trump’s new Tesla drives itself into an electric pole in the next few weeks.

The copy of Sally Face Strange Nightmares from @themaestroteam.bsky.social that I backed some time ago turned up yesterday. Looking forward to getting this on the table, but I love the anticipation of a new game on my shelf waiting to be played.

I'm pretty sure I must have made several rule errors in my first two games of #eldritchhorror as I won both games. Since then I have been injured, infected, cursed, detained, haunted, diseased, delayed, poisoned, devoured and sent insane over and over again... #soloboardgame #boardgame

By chance I ended up getting #marvelchampions expansion Sinister Motives and #eldritchhorror within a week of each other. I promised myself I'd finish Sinister Motives before opening Eldritch Horror, but it's just sitting there on my shelf calling to me #soloboardgaming
