As for the Smugglers' representatives' dialogues, since they are surprisingly fully voiced, we decided to incentivize pirates to go check on each NPC by themselves (and you have no reason to, since they are seasonal deeds as well!)
"Cipher of Stealth" trinket, featuring the unmistakably logo of the Smugglers' League.

You earn this trinket by completing all 19 deeds of this season Act 1, which includes talking with all the Smugglers NPCs.

The Smugglers' League have made an explosive arrival, and with them a new unique style of storytelling. Join us as we dwell on the 8 Chronicles scattered throughout caches and shipwrecks. Journals that double down as loot items (Perfect to read on the go!) #SeaOfThieves
In-game screenshot of 4 small trinket ship models resting aboard a Captain's quarters.

The yellow and orange model of The Gilded Fox, sporting the namesake animal on its sails.

The dark tidal model of The Shadow Current.

The striking blue splendor model of The Sapphire Steel with a blue saber on its sails.

And the white familiar canine model of The Wolf in Winter, also with its namesake on the sails.

All these trinkets can be earnable by finding and reading the Chronicles of each ship. Since they are loot items, they can't be found in permanent specific locations.

Meanwhile, as our Head of Forensics has gone to meet with Captain Flameheart, to teach him about the importance of respecting private property (apparently he was not liking the lecture), he has decided to finally share his future plans if you ask what's coming next to the seas.
"The actions of my Reapers at the Temple are bearing fruit.""The Burning Blade delivers ever more Ancient memories to me every day."
"I am summoning my most elite skeletons, the Order of Bone and Blade, to carry out the next stage of my plans."

If we ask Madame Olga what has transpired here, she confirms it was the work of the nefarious new order. This order is more than willing to see Flameheart's conquering dream come true. You can read her dialogue in this tweet and the next. ⬇️

However, the attack wasn't isolated on the outside of buildings. After yesterday's tease video by @seaofthieves.com, it seems the Order of Bone and Blade have grown tired of the Order of Souls attempts to uncover Flameheart's plan and have flipped over their Port Merrick's location.
A general shot of the state of the Order of Souls building at Port Merrick.

Although Olga and most of the building is intact, the table which resided the obscure dark deck has been flipped and the cards spread, torn and stabbed.

On the wall right next to the table are 3 stabbed cards featuring three runes. The same runes are red painted above each corresponding letter. The culprits have revealed themselves. They wait no longer.

The Order of Bone and Blade is here.A close up picture of the flipped card table, with all cards spread among the furniture and ground. Among them we see all past cards used for previous warnings like Ancient, Death and Resurrection.

A lot of these runes are symbols known by the community for years, while others are yet to be deciphered. Although an act of ill-intent, the Reaper's may have given us keys to uncover more Skeleton Runes meanings, like this one. Show us all the places you have encountered these.

THE REAPER'S HAVE TAKEN OVER! Today our researchers woke up to one new "crime" to add to Flameheart's followers - Vandalism. Throughout all different outposts, Skeleton Runes have been inscribed with what we hope is only ink! Here are some examples. @seaofthieves.com
Red painted skeleton runes, drawn on the side of a wall in a shopkeeper cabin at Morrow's Peak Outpost.

Here's the translation of the runes we do know from left to right:

DEATH TO (Unknown rune only featured before in the Scar of Cursed Bone)Red painted Skeleton Runes drawn on the side of the wall of the tavern at Dagger Tooth Outpost.

It can be translated from left to right to the Reaper's Bone famous motto:

PIRATES FOR ALL ETERNITY.Red painted Skeleton Runes drawn on the map of the Merchant's Alliance tent at Morrow's Peak Outpost.

They can be translated to the same phrase we saw in the most recent cards:

ORDER BONE BLADERed painted Skeleton Runes drawn on top of Merrick's Statue at Port Merrick.

The runes can be translated to the self given name of the main perpetrator:

KING FLAME HEART

From rumours of Reapers preparing for a new move, to a Meg Tracking Voyage in the future, to new cards of the dark deck. However, it seems at least one of those isn't entirely true, as Larinna made us sail half a map for an empty table with no new cards! We'll steal her mangos

Merrick told us how the new megs affect the old... A knowledge shared as well by Larinna, whose entire dialogue tree has changed, explaining all the new and upcoming features. In this post we only highlight some of the most important phrases shared by the Bilge Rat's leader.
Introduction Larinna dialogue: "Hey! You'd better be on your guard, pirate. The seas are even more dangerous now with Flameheart and new sea creatures abroad"

Options:

"Browse Larinna's Stock"

"What sort of danger?"

"New sea creatures, you say?"

"Anything else I should know?""Captain Flameheart's flagship - the Burning Blade - is still out there on the waves. And I hear whispers of other plans afoot...""Plus, Madame Olga's still seeing awful portents in her cards. Go see for yourself!""They're attacking ships, so the Hunter's Call have voyages to track them down. But it won't be easy."

Moving to Merrick. Now back from his investigation, residing once again solely at Athena's Lair. Ask him how proud he must be and he'll answer how Serik is to be credited the most and how he seemed to have predicted the duo threats but the Shrouded importance still alludes him.
"Course I am. And honoured, too. After I worked out what them shark statues meant!""Though, technically, I'm not the head. My dearest Serik is. Proud of 'er is what I truly am.""So now we know the threat them new Megalodon pose, worked out the effect they 'ave on all others. 'Cept the Ghost!""Means you should get out there 'n' hunt 'em down for us! Just don't go forgettin' to raise that Emissary Flag for The Hunter's Call"

Captain McGuffin @captmcguffin.bsky.social · 20/02/2025
We would however like to spotlight the new dialogue left by the most tragic character of this update: Zharick. She is the only Hunter's Call member to not receive the outpost treatment, and is forever now stuck at Brian's Bazaar, unable to visit Port Merrick like she wanted to.
"Well, it is a change. And a change is as good as a rest. Certainly from that wastred, Emerick.""I suppose hunting Megalodons and boars and Treasured Fish is exciting.""But for me, I'm still stuck at Brian's Bazaar. Some of the others get to visit Outposts or even Port Merrick!""So, vote on our table and get out there. Love your best hunter's life for me!"

- the footprints of boars

- And a very realistic and frightening drawing of the Barnacled Dread!

Speaking of consistent loot spawns, a lot of pirates pointed out how the storage room above the fortresses that Diego Barras tells us not to open, always has the mythical Skull of Destiny, connected with the Flames of Fate and the Fort of the Damned. What is DB planning now?

In exchange, the phantoms were to steal a bunch of Chests of Tribute from the ANCIENTS to the Brethren and guard them safely with their non-life. Part of the consistent loot found on these boosted sea forts are said Chests of Tribute.

⚠️SPOILER ALERT ⚠️ 4 notes can be found left throughout the raided fort, written by the Phantom Jailor Diego Barras. According to them, a group of Spanish Phantoms have gone rogue and have allied with the Dark Brethren, in exchange for the promise of the phantoms becoming human.
"By order of Diego Barras, this Sea Forte is hereby seized from Captain Flameheart and his blindly loyal Phantoms.""Out of order! Yes. Nothing to see in here... Keep out! - By order of Diego Barras""We have taken many Chest of Tribute for our allies. My only hope is that the woman in the mask holds true to her bargain, so we may be whole again - Diego Barras""Well done my brethren! We have stored a great treasure here, safe from the Ancients! In this tome, he describes an armored shark that moves like lightning, even using the word "dread". All points to this being the mythical Barnacled Dread Megalodon which has been mentioned and teased on the latest articles and promo arts for the new season. Doesn´t this journal feel out of place?
"Like a knight, vigilant and confident in its armour. But it moves like lightning. Swift as a storm and just as deadly.""I'd better get back to the Pirate Lord and report all this. He'll want to know what's happening beyond the Veil.""But I reckon The Hunter's Call will have a role to play in all this. Maybe it's time we stepped up, eh?"

Merrick seemingly debunks old theories about the statues representing old megs, reassuring the purple and red must belong to the dangerous new threats. He believes the White represents the Shrouded Ghost, but points to the inconsistency of the eye colour. What could all mean?
"Them monsters have PINK eyes, though. But no other Megalodon is white... It's a message alright. Question is, what's it say, eh?""Hmm. Eyes see things, right? "Yes. I've been marooned here for ages! Ever since I was beached and almost ended up in the belly of a Redmaw""No one believed me about that big, angry, red shark.
