They're doing the same with the VA. I'm family caregiver for 2 vets, & it's insane how long wait times are now, how hard it is to reach their providers, especially specialists, & how they're pushing "community care" by framing it as veterans choosing their providers. They're trying to privatize. 🤬

@maggiewaits.bsky.social 1955. A sophomore in high school and singing in the school acapella choir. Heard the Four Freshmen. Got together three other guys who liked this stuff and for the next three years we made pocket money covering Freshmen material. youtu.be/ERfkrsL-7XI?...

@maggiewaits.bsky.social In my opinion, Desmond was one of the best melodic players out there. When he would solo with Brubeck it was magic for me and very emotional.

@maggiewaits.bsky.social I don't know, but I think everyone of these solos are stand alone performances, and should be taught in music schools all over the world. But then, that's just me.

I’m not the first to say it, but I’ve said it over and over: The long term goal of the GOP for decades has been to dismantle and delegitimize the U.S. government so they can resegregate their states, strip women’s rights and privatize and profit from what’s left of America.

Long before women were welcomed into professional baseball, Toni Stone was already playing it. In 1953, she became the first woman to play professional baseball in a men’s major Negro League, breaking barriers every time she stepped onto the diamond. She didn’t wait for permission. #SheShed

Buttigieg on Duffy: "I love roadtrips. I love America. I actually took a taxpayer-funded roadtrip lasted about 7 months. It was in Afghanistan. This is something very different. To make roadtrips unaffordable & then go around celebrating your own roadtrip is actually why people are frustrated about"

Of all the vile traits that embody the Epstein Class: the hoarding of wealth, the megalomaniacal demagoguery and the corruption, it’s their absolute disdain for and the pleasure they derive from harming everyday people that is so beyond my realm of comprehension. The level of sadism is staggering.
