Irony is I figured out it was my SNRI giving me high blood pressure. Got better after I changed meds. But before I suspected, my go-to was Ativan, which I have for emergencies, aka panic attacks.

I've told my meds manager that there isn't enough Lexapro in the world to fix the sources of my depression and anxiety. But yeah, I've got a friend who does ketamine therapy for depression, and another friend had success with the magnets thing. Then another friend had success with a shot of B12.

I had a similar reaction to a certain dose of a certain SNRI, and then another similar reaction to an SSRI that I'd never done before. I'm currently on a different SSRI and feel fine. So yes, there are lots of other options, and talk to your doc. Good luck, and rest well <3

I'm thinking of bringing it up at my next physical. I'm technically morbidly obese, have arthritis from an old injury, have PCOS/ PMOS, scalp psoriasis, and insulin resistance. I'm a perfect candidate.

Yeah, I can't go back either. I'm still struggling to do the public service loans forgiveness, since I've been at a non-profit for almost a decade. I hope I can get it to work, but either way, I can't afford to go back. Especially not for teaching.

I got a BA in English and was partially trained in education, but got screwed over by my university and couldn't do student teaching or get certified. I still ended up in education. My body is OK, but my mental health is in the toilet. I have learned that you're fucked either way.

My dad, who is a concrete finisher by trade, told me and my bro the same thing. "Get a job that uses your brain, not your body, so you don't end up like me." In pain, lots of surgery. Bro is very smart but has undiagnosed ADHD and ended up as a concrete finisher.
