People who paid for the premium edition with 3 day Early Access were asked to restart the game after day one patch since older saves would break the game and introduce progress blockers. This is not me stating an opinion, this was their official statement in the mail :/

I remember hearing rumours about Switch getting Kiwami and fully expected it to be called something like Like a Dragon: (Yakuza) Kiwami since it's a new platform, but it wasn't. So now I'm really interested to see what's gonna happen to eventual Kiwami 3. Will they make naming even more confusing?

Saw someone linking Eurogamer's article about Lionhead/Fable games development and honestly with all these "anti-woke" clowns running around I really want to see more developers that act like this:

For the development of Fable 2, Peter asked the team to double down on the more progressive elements of Fable 1, spurred on by some of the negative reaction from those upset with the kinds of things you could do in the game.

Lionhead received death threats because it had a gay character and two of the leading heroes were black. One message read: "I can't believe you would put a f****t in the game." A German magazine wrote a damning preview of Fable in which it accused Peter Molyneux of being "the man who thinks he's god", and called McCormack and other artists satanists. Mums from the Bible belt would write to the studio complaining that their eight-year-old had been exposed to homosexuality.

"We were like, the game's not for eight-year-olds," John McCormack says. "It's a mature-rated game. So it's not really our problem. It's yours. And, I hope you rot in hell.

"With Fable 2 we were like, right, gay marriage, lesbianism, fuck you. We revelled in it."

The Blood of Dawnwalker seems to fix one of my biggest problems with narrative in open world games by progressing in-game time with each completed quest, so you can't spend 100 days doing sidequests while everything else just stops. And for some reason people online already hate it because of this..

By sheer coincidence finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on Monolith Soft's 25th Anniversary. Probably the most flawed "good" game I ever played, I don't think I'll ever find strength in me to revisit it again, because when I was done with it, I was done... This is how I feel right now by the way:

I don't know how "faithful" the translation is, but I was SO annoyed by the host person, they were just pushing the interview to get exactly this... "But it's a game, it's a fiction!!" - Well there are regulations, age ratings... "But fiction!!!" 😖

The problem is that a lot of new "HD-2D" games don't even use things that made HD-2D look good. Like compare Octopath to DQ3, Dragon Quest doesn't even try to look "retro" it's straight up modern 3D graphics with character models being swapped for sprites. Change it back and that's just DQ7 on 3DS.

Nice to see Nintendo going in a way similar to what I predicted some time ago. Basically Like A Dragon / Judgment approach where the main series drastically changed in terms of gameplay, but we're also getting remakes and spin offs with a different protagonist capturing classic feel of older titles.

Also just happened to start my first Kingdom Hearts game today, I was never big on Disney so this aspect made me ignore these games for a while, but all my friends adore this series and I feel like it's time to expand my RPG horizons.
