Also I didn't demolish the museum, I made an entirely new copy of it: the original is still down there directly beneath it (just slightly worse for wear). There's also an elevator shaft connecting them inside the building, which is sort of inspired by something from the third Professor Layton game.

When I unlocked Magnemite + the ability to replace blocks easily, I had the idea to carve out some of the ash using Rollout and then pave over it with grass to create natural-looking terrain, and that then became the base for making a little town

I've been playing Pokopia on and off since launch, and both times I hit a big progress milestone (rolling credits/finishing the dex) I thought i'd finally put the game down, but instead it just made me super motivated to keep playing and work on some big projects. Will this response be read or internalised by any of these mass AI mailers? Probably not, but it was fun to set up and it will give me a sense of satisfaction knowing I have a little virtual robot of my own that can let AI companies know on no uncertain terms that I'm not interested.

I even put a "no AI" clause on my description earlier this month cause I was getting sick of it but I don't think it makes a difference. A bot is still gonna scrape it just so a company with a name like Swongl.AI can beg me to make a dedicated video promoting their "AI-powered" scam app slop

When I first got to play the Pokopia demo at EUIC I spent like 70% of my session time just spinning in circles because the first time I did it I got the random Spinda face easter egg and I couldn't figure out why it happened the first time and then never showed up again

And the last one I had to custom-make an english representation of because the original one was only ever released in Japan, but i wanted to keep the same shape/design in case anyone happened to know the game and recognise it from those elements.

Butt Level Ontario is probably the cleanest one I made, Battle Revolution's logo made it pretty easy to switch the letters around with minimal cleanup

I drew this jokingly last week after seeing the episode synopsis was "Navi & Ogerpon" - Kieran hasn't been formally introduced in Horizons yet aside from a cameo in the BB Academy but I just saw the Next Time preview and there's a Hydrapple in it, so this might genuinely be the episode's plot

I went digging for 2011-era forum posts and articles to cite for my video on Gen 5 when bringing up this topic. Most Pokemon games have had some amount of critique around launch but it really cannot be understated how widespread and mainstream it was to hate on Black/White and Unova's Pokedex.

Ok turns out this new Dr Who set has 2 uber-rare chase cards in it and this is what they're currently selling for. As cool as it is to see a new expansion for the 2006 tcg I loved as a kid, it mega sucks that I can't say I have a complete set anymore.

I liked these two, they had some genuinely devious battle synergies and their commitment to pairing Pokemon with Red and Blue forms together was fun. I like the implicaiton that they had to hunt down a shiny in order to justify having an Electrode explosion gambit up their sleeves.

I'm still cautiously skeptical of the future of Horizons now that the overarching Rakurium/Explorers plot has finished, but at least this whacky hijinks season has had some entertaining premises so far - the most recent episode was completely deranged.

Currently filling out my Pokopia dex - both Arbok and Serperior comment on Ditto not being intimidated by their natural defensive displays when you first meet them and it just occured to me that it's probably because Ditto's normal ability is Limber and thus it would be unaffected by the move Glare

Aside from when I've commissioned artwork, all my thumbnails are handmade in GIMP. Making good thumbnails is something i'm not the most confident in, but an AI thumbnail speaks volumes to the amount of passion and effort being put into your work (that is to say, very little).

Watched the famously sad Minior scene from the anime today for research purposes and no one told me Rayquaza suddenly shows up at the end of it - that immediately recontextualises this whole scene from gut-wrenchingly tragic to morbidly hilarious to me
