I wanted to share good news (which in normal times would be neutral). One of my lab's NIH grants was renewed for year 2 (March 1). That means that funding is not completely frozen. And it means there are people in Bethesda who believe in the mission of the NIH and research. And I thank them.

I listened to former Sens. Joe Lieberman (No Labels - Connecticut) and Doug Jones (D - Alabama) debate the idea of a No Labels 2024 candidacy. Jones destroyed Lieberman. It reinforced this: people who elevate themselves simply because they self identify as centrists…have nothing to offer.
