Didn't know Angela was on Bsky. So many fond memories of the delightful families in our Skokie Evanston Rogers Park group. I write a little fiction and had the best time with the New Baby chapter putting in all the sweet little details. Laurel is in Seattle, where I will be spending time soon.

You call 911. The 911 dispatchers have questions and protocols. Many families have senior care profiles they have completed just in case this happens. The police would have taken her to a hospital emergency room.

#TimeTravelAuthors I was thinking lately about the brilliance of Groundhog Day. Our MC in the time loop does everything from jumping off a cliff to reading philosophy in a coffee shop. It's a whole lifetime of choices in a predictable setting. It's hilarious and thoughtful. I should watch it again.

Yes, and another time there's a little conversation between the two of them where Alexis mentions killing, Arthur is surprised and Alexis says "you have never killed anyone Captain Gore?" And Arthur has to say, "only bad people." Alexis agrees. "Just so."

There are very inside jokes. But I did write a whole chapter for fun about how hard Arthur has to work to not be appointed to committees in his own church and her faith community. Because he is Anglican and they want him to be a deacon and he does not have the time.

Also, to be honest, I indulged myself. Pari and her family are members of the Bahai Faith and we are near nonexistent in literature or popular media as characters. Sure, Rainn Wilson, but not as a character. Her Persian family are Bahais and Zoroastrian from way back and that's so much fun for me.

Yes. Arthur is only mentioned in the novel as a 15 year old. I have given him two wives and one spy lover. Over a lifetime. And some girlfriends in his youthful past. Pari is based on several wonderful Persian women I know.

#TimeTravelAuthors D7 Embarrassed. Not everything is sad is Arthur’s life. “Well.” Pari teases, “you certainly fell into my bed easily enough.” “Once I won your heart, yes, the bed was the easy part.” Arthur says this without looking up, because Pari is still a little embarrassed about that.
