When I find art I think my friends will like, I ALWAYS share it as a link to the artist's original post AND I take an extra few seconds to fix the URL so it previews correctly. Artists deserve to have their work respected and my friends are worth the effort 💪💪💪

It is painfully obvious to tell when a slop-peddler is tracing over gen stuff and calling it their own artwork, but it's also deeply frustrating because it's often so hard to irrefutably prove it. Plus you'd have to put your own reputation on the line and risk looking like an asshole.

It's spooky when this information is displayed as openly YouTube is doing here, but it's nothing new. Tracking parameters are already widely used to quietly collect a profile of who you are and who your friends are. You should already practice removing them from URLs that you share or click.

I am sort of curious about the FA/VGen collab though, mainly what FA is getting from it Every public-facing facet of it seems to only really be in VGen's benefit. FA front page advertising, donated FA perks like ad space & FA+, etc On VGen's front page there's no similar promotion featuring FA
