iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Per arc a few days to weeks. Per session a few minutes to 2 hours. I tend to think more of where thi gs are going broadly. The wrap up at the end of the session usually does the lifting for the next session.

Yep. It is impossible not to. Even "non political" games often have political messages /intents of the writer baked into them. Every time I've heard someone say "xyz isn't political" it's usually bc their own view align with the creators/authors.

Yw! Michael J Fox has a small part in it too!

On the plus side they seem to be of the same mind. Wouldn't be surprised I'd Zohran brings him on I'm some capacity before Brad runs for something bigger.

I haven't had much of the "hide in the shadows edgelord" the assassin player in my Mage game mostly wanted to just spend time with her cat and have iced coffee.

Unofficially 6 with star frontiers though I had no idea wtf I was doing Officially 10 with Palladiums Robotech RPG had a better grasp on things and could make a character.

Hands down Mage: the Ascension. My longest chronicle clocked in at more than 150 sessions over 3 years. I've run one-shots at four conventions and played as a PC in 4 sessions.

I think there should be a distinction between a conflict of ideas/ rules and an unexpected/unanticipated outcome/result/failure/success. For the unexpected, don't be afraid of it. Run with it. Or call a break for a few min. to make it work with your plans

I haven't had a lot of disagreements but when they come up if I there isn't a clear resolution we usually do either A: follow the rule of (reasonable) cool B: roll off C: save it for post game debrief. I find it helpful to keep a shared file of house rules and rulings.

Have you ever watched Babylon 5? The depth of characters by the 2nd season is great and amazing by the end of the 4th.

I feel the same way about Palladium Books Robotech/Rifts which were my first rpgs. The systems are just awful.

I am working on some hip hop themed splat for Mage The Ascension. If you need some connections to Hip-hop historians, Graff writers and educators drop me a line.

Would be down to play or run a one shot and see what happens.

Unfortunately boot locking isn't a crime. Bribery and extortion however, is.

Looking to connect with other RPG heads in Philadelphia. Drop a line and what games you like and a game you may love but may never play. I'll go first: Gamed I like: Mage: The Ascension, 10 Candles, Cyberpunk 2020/RED, SMG's ROBOTECH Game I will probably never play: Nobilis :( #Phillyrpg #ttrpgs

I found my notes for the Mage chronicle that used Judgment from ToJ: Ascension. I thought back to the prep I did and remembered how intimidated I was to run it at first, but it turned out amazing. This is an AMA on the scenario Judgment. Spoilers are likely but that's OK. #Magetheascension

One time I spent a 3 hours planning a heist for my PC cabal of Mages to steal an item from a Tremere mansion, with a lot of metal gear style sneaking and hiding. On game day, 1 player just loaded up a van with stolen blood bank bags. Knocked on the mansion door and said Let's make a deal.
