The President's 2027 budget would slash WIC's fruit & vegetable benefit, leaving about 5.4 million pregnant women, new moms, toddlers & preschoolers in low-income families with only $10-13 per month for fruits & vegetables. See the impact in your state:

President Trump’s budget for FY 27, which proposes to reduce the monthly fruit and veg benefits from $54 to $13 for breastfeeding mothers and from $27 to $10 for young children. This proposal would mean fewer fresh, healthy foods for families who rely on this critical support. #WICWorks #FundWIC
A graphic showing a persimmon with a quote from Alexis, a WIC mom from Fresno says "If the vegetable benefit was cut it would impact mine and my kids' lives tremendously. We rely on the benefits we receive from WIC for our fresh produce every day. We would have to cut out our fruits and vegetables, or it would be limited to a few. WIC has helped me keep my children healthy and enjoying foods that they need."

Trump wants to make massive cuts to WIC’s fruit and vegetable assistance to low-income mothers and young children. This will take away healthy foods from families. So much for “Make America Healthy Again.”
Black graphic titled "Here's Trump's plan to slash WIC benefits for fruit and vegetables." Underneath are two columns that show "Current Monthly Benefit" in white and "Trump's Proposed Monthly Benefit" in red. The graphic shows that breastfeeding mothers currently get $52/month and under Trump's proposal, they'd only get $13/month. Young children currently get $26/month, but under Trump's proposal, they'd only get $10/month. Rep. Ted Lieu's logo is at the bottom.
