I'm not entirely against vape pens, much as they absolutely fucking stink with some rancid flavours. I do think, however, that places where smoking has been banned shouldn't allow vaping either. This is my one NIMBY position. Everyone's allowed one, this is mine.

I think Sharon Horgan might be doing too good of a job with writing Ruairí in Youth cos, whilst being a very accurate depiction of young teenage boys and even with his more sympathetic moments, I have to physically restrain myself from reaching through the TV and smacking him silly so much.

I really like Yahtzee and his perspective, but I do think he can have very rigid, and sometimes paradoxical, ideas of how video game narratives *should* be and gets dismissive of things which don't fit them in ways that aren't simply "the writing is bad." Ditto that every aspect of a game... (3/4)

I know that I personally don't futz with additional costumes until the story's done or NG+, and fully-customisable PCs I always design and dress for the occasion. But I'm not gonna begrudge the option, or other players who choose, to make comical gremlins woefully ill-fitting the story. (2/4)

Yeah adding customisables & costumes is basically the game letting go of the reins & letting people decide how into the narrative they want to be, as either confidence in their own writing that it'll land no matter how people dress their cast or just allowing players a little input of their own. 1/4
