my kingdom for a new, from the ground up fan TL for the original game

That's probably a contributing factor but I'd bet there's a lot of being rewarded by the algorithm that's happening as well.

Either way, congrats, you're losing folks like me who'd actually commission you in favor of the smallest possible burst of attention from actually terrible people.

Have now unfollowed more than one artist for hopping onto the latest art trend that's bad and also sucks. Are they blissfully unaware of how it's bad and why it sucks? Or do they not care if it brings in the social media clout? Not sure which one is worse.

I did not expect every new con in the area to take me up on running panels so that one is really and truly on me.

Well, just wrapped event #7, and my last con of the year is next weekend. Been having fun but I think I'll be glad when it's all wrapped.

Well, the game room is open for another two hours, but it might just be time to pack up all the same.

Sister Senpai with her big sword in a stream. My shoe got soaked but it was worth it.

All last, the west player calls kan on their wind, which is already dora, and then flips up another South for the new indicator? I managed to get a quick tanyao and stay in second but that was awful scary for a second.

Admittedly I'm going up against a lot of new players this weekend but I have gotten soooo many ippatsu.

Riichi, tanyao, ippatsu, dora 3 + aka 1. Entotsu wait on the 5-8 pin or 7-man

I think "Let's give Mittermeyer enough time to eat his breakfast" is a frankly underrated LOGH line because it feels, even more so than usual, like a real out of context quote from a major historical campaign.

But also, one of the fellas at our last teaching game for the evening said "oh, I like your Tsukihime shirt!" and uh, I didn't realize I had that level of "you've activated my Special Interest!" in me at that point in the evening.

Retiring for the evening after a healthy dose of stepmaniax. Got in a few rounds of Gundam, too (I did not do particularly well, that new Qubeley is kinda crazy busted).

Second panel went well! The sound isn't working properly in either panel room so I just had to hold up my mic to my laptop speaker but! I had fun.

One of the dealers had assorted Cospa Neco-Arc goods but I, already own all of them. I asked if they had any of the other characters and he said "uhhhh we got Saber" which, is about what I expected.

As far as I can tell every developer I know who uses this nonsense is in a constant "we're so back"/"it's so over" loop where the new model comes out, it fails to deliver on the hype (again), and yet they keep going back for more.

cons: 3D animated Rune Gods, cv. Kusogi Jurota was superb as Zagato in the original series pros: it's very pretty while still having fun with the chibi segments, cv. Yasumoto Hiroki as Lafarga is perfect casting (I say this every time he's in anything, though, what a great voice)

Generally I'm not in favor of new anime adaptations that are just there to stick closer to the manga but Rayearth specifically, really deserved it, actually.

Masami Obari mentions getting into an SRW game (Cross Omega's Pop Team Epic event) when discussing "Things 80% of your followers probably haven't experienced". Terada adds: "For the record, this was not Obari-san's idea. It was my request, and I was honestly expecting him to say no."
