I'm pretty sure the way Calex alters reality sometimes is he just thinks that's how things are... And stares unblinking at reality till reality blinks and gives in to his perception of it. Basically he passes a bluff check against reality itself.

So, AHS made me realize that I might just have like a really huge aversion to rubber. It bends and moves weird, and it feels bad to the touch to me. I dunno, but would explain my reaction to some things in the past.
