why does ecobee “adjust for humidity” keep thinking that “oh you set the thermostat to 76F? i’ll set it to 79F, since it’s dry af outside with the summer heat” i get the logic, slightly, but man… it seems kinda wacky. just eventually turned that setting off. support.ecobee.com/s/articles/e...

The root cause of the disruption has not yet been fully identified. DENIC’s technical teams are working intensively on analysis and on restoring stable operations as quickly as possible.
Based on current information, users and operators of .de domains may experience impairments in domain resolution. Further updates will be provided as soon as reliable findings on the cause and recovery are available.

Mayor Whitmire has consistently been vehemently against any change that improves safety for pedestrians or even reasonable safety improvements for cars; He's ripped out so much infrastructure that was designed by engineers following safety standards in favor of roads as wide as humanly possible.

Whitmire certainly didn’t run for office in 2023 by promising to crush neighborhood-backed plans for safer streets. Yet that appears to be one of his central preoccupations. He's fought everything from Montrose sidewalks to a bike path in Midtown to a Shepherd-Durham redesign. He'd actually approved that last plan while a state senator, only to flip-flop after being elected mayor. We don't understand what's changed.

Anyone know of a good way to avoid Safari from butchering my SVG's when rendered via `<img>`? Rendering inline is fine, and `<object>` works beautifully in Safari, but ends up with a white background in Firefox, as it's really meant to be akin to an iframe. I've resorted to detecting #safari 😬.
