Remember: every time you repeat a story about how awfully, terribly dangerous their products are, you help them raise more investment capital, which is a key input for their business (hooking up statistical engines to money-furnaces): peoples-things.ghost.io/youre-doing-...

I joined the Times Tech Report to talk about why the media should be embarrassed they fell for an Antrhropic researcher’s specious “dire warnings” that are completely disconnected from reality, and Anthropic and OpenAI’s $1.3tn “reset wall” of commitments starting in 2027. youtu.be/Svwmd0xSoXM?...

Our little network is 5 years old today, and not so little as we are (to my surprise) nearing a billion episodes downloaded across all shows. To celebrate, we're releasing a new weekly series today, Natural Causes, hosted by (Dr.) James Stout! www.iheartmedia.com/press/iheart...

I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.

Quick little fact check here: Israel has armed the Burmese military for decades, including during the Rohingya Genocide. Protesting Israel’s genocidal regime directly and materially benefits the people of Myanmar.

I mean, this is just straight up censorship by the government and the BBC
Police in Somerset say they are assessing comments made on stage by rap punk duo Bob Vylan and Irish-language rap group Kneecap at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday.
The government has "strongly condemned" chants from Bob Vylan who called for "death" to the Israeli military during their performance which was broadcast live on the BBC.
Rapper Bobby Vylan led chants of "free, free Palestine" and "death, death to the IDF [lsrael
Defense Forces]".
A BBC spokesperson said some of the comments were "deeply offensive", adding it had issued a warning on screen about "very strong and discriminatory language". The set will not be available to rewatch on BBC iPlayer.
The Israeli Embassy posted on the social media site X that it was "deeply disturbed by the inflammatory and hateful rhetoric".After Bob Vylan's performance, a government spokesperson said Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy had spoken to BBC director general Tim Davie to seek an "urgent explanation about what due diligence" the broadcaster carried out ahead of airing the act.
The government added that it welcomed the decision not to re-broadcast the performance on
BBC iPlayer.

I'll always appreciate the beauty of the old Irish song "Go on Home British Soldiers". I played it in Syria to a friend who immediately vibed with it. I suspect many L.A. residents will too. Nothing more natural than seeing an armed stranger and asking, "have you got no fucking home of your own?"

Polite request to please credit the photographers whose L.A. photos you’re sharing. They’re out there risking getting their shins exploded by police munitions to get those shots.

i think people are missing the forest for the trees with this one. RFK Jr wants complete centralized knowledge of every American's health in order to exact control on what medications are allowed and in order to fabricate "evidence" for each and all of his nonsense theories.

If this episode gets shared over 100 times, I’ll run for office. My priorities will be healthcare for everyone and a taco stand on every corner.
