This (Bluesky) is a part of society and my community of age regressors and age players are a part of society. When i was 10 i had no one to talk to about my feelings on age play, and by the time i was about 12, the Internet was one of the rare places i could learn more if my parents weren't around.

I think saying "mdni" is similar to asking for a "child-free" seat in an airplane or at a resto. Another part of it is that people go fucking ape-shit if someone compliments a child or something, and they start a witch hunt to exile the person. Youth and children want to participate in society.

I believe the age of consent is for explicit activity. Like having sex or talking about having sex. It's to protect young people who have are legally disempowered by the state, so are vulnerable, especially vulnerable because of our patriarchal and sex obsessed society/media.

It was ten years ago and the victim isn't the person we're replying to. The victim isn't here. The "minor" part is the "ten years ago" combined with the lack of info and that it's one case, which also the perp regrets. Do we want perps to die or do better? I want perps to regret and do better.

I miss being young and misusing words for the sake of hyperbole. -- Throughout this whole web of comments I've been using specific words and grammar. Words like punitive and emphasizing tense. My whole point is to avoid being reactionary. ... I dunno, take what u want from this comment.

Fair. This is the weakest part of my argument (/serious). How much does someone need to be disconnected from, before it is considered exile? I think the natural amount of disconnection is enough. Ie. Him being dropped by various shows and subs loss. More feels punitive to me, and detrimental.

He was probably scared. It sounded like people distanced themselves from him back in uni after the incident came to light. That likely caused trauma, so he unfollowed hoping to escape the harms that were caused to him 10 years ago. I would be terrified if i were him as well.

Assault is bad, sexually assault is bad, but more. Abuse is worst and needs correcting. I don't see abuse from Geller. Honestly, tho, maybe back then, in a toxic student uni culture, he did generally abuse women? I have no idea, but that would be something to be corrected. But that isn't this.
