Stuff I watched lately, boring edition: Lanterns S1. Superhero mystery couched in grounded character drama. Flawless performances across the board; Pierre’s charisma is unstoppable. Grade: A- Murderbot S1. A little too thin to do the source material justice. Needed more room to breathe. Grade: C+

He's also good at making horror feel accessible, almost weirdly mainstream. This is more a compliment than a criticism, even though it's kind of both at times, because while it keeps his work extremely consistent it also holds him back from doing something that stands out as truly exceptional.
