Colin @cactdiety.bsky.social · 03/08/2026I think it's actually somewhat "harmful" in a way to get served shit quality things funded by our subscriptions. It's a zero sum world where budget could have been used for other shows with better writing. It's not negativity for negativity's sake. I want better for us. 020

Colin @cactdiety.bsky.social · 03/08/2026I have permanent tinnitus at a very manageable volume, practically unnoticeable if I'm not focusing on it but always there if I look. I recommend Loop Earplugs for protection. If you're neuro divergent you'll be surprised by how much more energy you'll have outside once you start sensory aids. 120
Colin @cactdiety.bsky.social · 02/08/2026On hot days my partner and I like to reference Romeo and Juliet Act 3, Scene 1 "I pray thee, good Mercutio, let’s retire. The day is hot, the Capels are abroad, And if we meet we shall not ’scape a brawl, For now, these hot days, is the mad blood stirring." 000

Reposted by ColinLittledigits @littledigits.bsky.social · 24/07/2026one of the things we need to come to terms with in animation is that the streaming bubble and online platforms have made expectations so large, and that the outsourced pipelines are so bloated and wasteful - that audiences are prepped for impossible output and quality. 618345
Reposted by ColinLittledigits @littledigits.bsky.social · 15/05/2026Contrast is actually really important for appeal. Not just contrast between your characters and their timing, but also within the scenes, sequences and overall season. If you pump everything up to 12/10 right out of the gate you have to stay there and people expect you to keep going. 5420119

Colin @cactdiety.bsky.social · 10/07/2026the only way I've gotten consistent color from Clip Studio (but I've seen this problem with Ipad as well) was painting right from the start in srgb. if the creator made the art in p3 or rgb and you download it you can see the original expanded color range they were working with 100

It'd cost her whole day's wage and a chunk of our rent. Dad once told me to check under the car seat and Pokemon Red was there in a bag. Colin @cactdiety.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Cool+ Pillow ($120) from Coop. It's refreshingly cold on the face but it does keep a normal amount of heat when your face is on it throughout the night. It's not colder than the human body. When you flip it it'll be much colder than the usual cold side, so there's about 3 flipable sides per night. 010
