Good use of my grad-school-honed research skills: find the date of marriage date for my great grandfather to his first wife so I can then narrow down when/where she died to month/location and then to specific date. Wild.

You can do it! Unsolicited advice: Remember to take care of yourself as best as you can. It's okay to shut out the world for a few days before you defend. Hydrate, rest, try to think positively, and breathe. I don't know you but they don't typically let you defend if you're not actually ready.

As an interdisciplinary, intersectional gender and sexuality studies scholar who did MAs in gender and communication studies IN Iowa...this certainly worries me. I teach WGSS & trans studies, my students deserve to learn about these topics. More students need to learn about the topics.
