An LLM doesn't improve your code. It amplifies it. It has no taste of its own, only the momentum of whatever it reads. Point it at clean code, it stays clean. Point it at rot, it compounds the rot. Good input is still on you. malmo.sh/notes/llms-a... #buildinpublic #software #developers #ai

LLMs Amplify, They Don't Improve
An LLM inherits the conventions of whatever code it reads. It amplifies what's already there, good or bad, and never improves on its own. The quality is yours to set.

What Anthropic's "Dynamic Workflows" Really Is
Dynamic Workflows is an incremental, well-monetized repackage of a multi-agent pattern with its own tradeoffs, and an early sign of where the incentives push every lab once the megarounds land.

CLEAR kiosks are not really that different from Sam Altman’s World Orb. Harvesting retina and biometric data for tracking across sectors under the guise of authentication. One is a rectangle and one is round, but they are both surveillance.

LLMs using em-dashes (—) feels like a double-edged sword. On one hand it does something other punctuation can't quite replicate. On the other — well, now you can't read an em-dash without wondering if a robot wrote it.

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.
