Ngl nintendo being extremely anti consumer probably played a larger role than i think in why i stopped caring about any of their shit lol

010

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

literally just out of nowhere she betrays you, gen dies and thats the WHOLE ending for that timeline

010

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

Oh wait there was another annoyance, there was an alternate story path you needed to take that literally had no explanation for the ending where your own boss betrays you and sends over a swat team to detain you and gen for the discovery of jins other half,

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

Ultimately i still think it was a great experience, still had plenty of great dramatic irony moments because of how the game was designed and the new mechanics melded into the game really well

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

-the fact that the HB case 6 years ago technically solved on its own due to the death of the tearer, so the climactic final battle was just stopping his still existing followers from following through with his plan didnt feel as impressive in comparison to the original ending

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

Ryuki got infected with TC-PERGE on day 2 but he had the exact same hallucination type prior to that, and them just saying he has mental problems kinda does give a great background -lots of places not really even used besides filler in comparison like the kumakura office

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

It overall felt like ryuki's side felt way less developed than mizuki's and only served as a means to give the player red herrings to the case and timeline. Not even mentioning they didnt really give an explanation for those episodes ryuki has which is inconsistency i think they missed

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

Whether they want him to be a protagonist or a side char. They designed the story to overall be very linear for ryuki and his section only aimed to be a pre-req to mizuki's side. This also feels very apparent in basically all of his psyncs barely utilizing the timey mechanic and feeling linear.

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

I only think its not a huge deal because through it solved notable plot inconsistencies that i saw (ie. Date being at the Factory after we witnessed him presumably get completely crushed by a rock 4 times his size and nobody batting an eye) -Ryuki's entire existence and the writers not knowing-

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

Pretty wild ngl, my main issues though that make it an overall not as good story compared to the original is the following spoilers: -the way they effectively took 2-3 chapters to fully explain the big twist in timeline and how it makes sense make it more confusing than it actually is

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

So i got the Nirvana Initiative and i want to lay out my thoughts of the story in a thread: Story was great, it still had moments that really plays in the dramatic irony due to the design of the game having you go back to parts of the story now knowing new stuff and the big twist is still

110

ETERNA @c1vilight-eterna.bsky.social · 07/11/2024

I should pull houshou marine's premium generator in sdvx just because of 2 reasons: shes hot even if i don't know this mfer, and i get to act like shes just a new char in sdvx and not some big vtuber
