@byzil.bsky.social surprised me with this incredibly sweet physical art from @felisrandomis.bsky.social , and I had to share it here! Thank you so, so very much! ;;

Polaris as drawn by FelisRandomis, shown boogieing to goodness knows what but absolutely enjoying the heck out of it!

The convenience of being an open source Linux computer on your face is anything the hardware is even theoretically capable of someone can figure out how to make happen!

The Frame natively just does gaze tracking. This software adds eye open/closed and pupil changes, and the baballonia software coming out in a week or two claims to work directly off the camera feed and also add brow tracking

And now that I've finally been brave and set up my babble as well, face tracking! Full avali expression package finally unlocked.

Kiri'vali @byzil.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Heck yeah full eye tracking on Frame! Now to finally set up the Babble I got like 2 months ago..

Yes both in convenience and capability. I ran a devoted AP before but I like it with the dongle even more. Though I do keep it on multi link mode so it can fall back to my AP if I walk out of range.

Well from the index it's a massive upgrade in every respect. I swapped from index to quest 3 a while back and it's more of a convenience/comfort upgrade from that but also with eye tracking

MORE avali!! This character page is for @byzil.bsky.social!! A delightfully fluffy specimen.

A feathered, dinosaur-like creature is displayed several times on a light-purple background. They are white with grey patches, blue accents on their feathers, and striped dark grey & white. Several images show her with her eyes bright with awe or excitement and a warm smile. Another image shows her relaxing, laying on her stomach with her chin in her hands. The final image shows her with a deeply mischievous expression.

A lot of space travel is spent just cruising from A to B, which might sound boring, but it gives you time to gaze out and contemplate, letting the stars tell you their story. Art by @beezthebum.bsky.social, and special thank you to @draegonis.bsky.social for helping this one happen. <3 #avali

Kiri's main role is a pilot.. Always taking her pack wherever they need to go. But she also just has an obsession with gazing at the stars.. There's comfort in how insignificant everything is at the scale of the cosmos. Sketch by @tanraak.bsky.social <3 #avali

I got to go up on the volcano last night and finally got to see the stars.. I cried when I saw how much is truly out there, and I barely scratched the surface. It was an absolutely magical night I will never forget. I'm excited to get home and edit the photos, but for now, I will share this!

The most incredible thing has happened during my Hawaii trip; we got to our cabin near the volcano, and @chipcrocodeer.bsky.social talked me into suit for a photoshoot, but it was a ruse! He proposed!! Of course I said yes, there was no other possible answer! This crocodeer is mine forever.

Well it is, but a massive viewing window over the cockpit, rather than a canopy. I like to think I ran out of lumes to fund the install and the plating that goes over it rolls down with a hand crank on the inside..

Still a WiP (being drawn by @geckodragon.art), but progress on Kiri's ship, the Ahrwa; a Catalina-class starship that she pilots! Will get the design nailed down and an interior layout sorted soon. She controversially had a window installed for stargazing because that's important to her!
