So proud of my home country of Australia for banning social media for anyone under 16. I don’t give a shit about some kids finding sneaky ways to get around the ban or government ID’s or any of that crap. I’m just appreciating the same common sense that implemented a near total ban on guns in 1996.

My new Saw merch just arrived! It looks so cool in person—I’ve been waiting for this for a month. I’m so happy!

Should I include Leigh signing this picture? I think not for now.

Went to the HorrorHound convention in Cincinnati last weekend and it was very humbling and fun to look people in the eye who appreciate what I do. There were married couples who met in Saw chat rooms! If you can make something that affects people, then you can’t ask for much more as an artist. Hugs.

Sometimes I think about the editor for Inglorious Basterds. I saw clips of the crew, Tarantino and the actors saying: ,,HI SALLY“ into the camera to make her feel included. As an editor I‘d be sitting there in (happy) tears 😭🥹

Just watched “It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley”. So tragic that he left us so young, yet he left us with a piece of perfect art. His album Grace has spoken to me at so many moments in my life. We humans hurt each other a lot…but sometimes just one of us gives the entire world a gift that lasts forever.

byxaurora🧩🌀 @byxaurora.bsky.social · 28/08/2025

Watched the behind the scenes of Saw 1 again yesterday and Leigh has no idea how much that inspires me 😭. I don‘t even know how to put it in words but it just motivates me sooo much to just try out new things. Actually thinking about applying to a film school.

What can I say? When I was a kid I desperately wanted to be a writer. Now I am. It would be terrible to get to the age of 60 and think, "Oh, I wish I'd - ". Go for it.

I always looked up to people who were outgoing and not socially anxious. I wish I had those kind of personality traits so I could be an actress. I still wish I could work at a movie set! It just seems so cool. Sometimes I even dream about directing a horror movie 🙈

In the movie “Wonder” (one of my comfort movies), one of the characters has this phrase as their motto : "When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind." It's one of the mottos I've decided to apply to my life.

To me editing is way of expressing myself and creating something that makes people happy. It‘s something about the music, the rhythm, the transitions and the clips that just tickles something in my brain haha. I also get a lot of positive feedback from people so thats a motivation for me as well :)
