A little friend I met today.

A view down a back alley, overgrown with yellow and red poppies, dandelion flowers and their clocks. In the middle, a black cat looks curiously at me, its tail a perfect questioning hook.

Happy Pride to this Caravaggio self-portrait that made one man so gay he had to go to the hospital

Caravaggio's Baccus painting, featuring a lush fruity spread and leaves bedecking a pasty twink who only works out his arms

Article screenshot that says:

The most extreme examples of
Stendhal syndrome share a sensation of
self-fragmentation. Magherini
describes the case of a 53-year-old
German man who was hospitalized
after repeatedly viewing Caravaggio's
Bacchus at Uffizi Gallery. The patient
felt "an attraction closer and closer to
an intimate sexual arousal of
ambiguous nature that invaded him
and made him feel good and bad."
Unmoored and distressed, he sought
medical attention. After treating the
subject's initial episode, Magherini
writes that he came to recognize his
latent homosexuality. Another case...

I got banned from twitter in 2023 for this drawing. They called it "violent speech". It had over 40K likes and too many comments for me to read before my ban, but I still see it floating around here and there. Save a copy, and use it freely. No attribution needed. The other advantage for your scifi of being a scientist in your real life is that you have a picture of all the current research. Don't build stories on outdated science from the 20th century. I legit take notes on every seminar I can get to, even if it's unrelated to my thesis. Bc it's for scifi.

I'm sure no one remembers this shitpost but me, but I need y'all to know I actually did this, every time I didn't have a fic title picked out ahead of time. (There are, incidentally, more versions and editions of this label than you could ever imagine.)

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps label crammed with text. The following OrchisAilsa fic titles are superimposed:
- If Not Now, When?
- The Things You Have Given Your Life To
- The Key to Freedom
- Always Towards the Heart
- Breathe Deeply
- To Be Awakened
- If You Can Dream
- The Thirst of Lonesome Years

Ugh, I can’t stand this publishing startup. They pay people to write fan fiction — they tried to commission a story from me. 831 Stories was founded by MBA brains who saw how lucrative romance is as a genre, and their branding targets lit snobs who think they are better than romance.
