Thirty-five years ago this week, the Braves began a remarkable a second-half surge that took them to Game 7 of the World Series. And, in a way, the surge never stopped. Happy birthday to the modern Atlanta Braves, born this week in 1991. Here's a fun look back: www.mlb.com/news/braves-...

How Braves' second-half surge in '91 birthed 35 years of excellence (and counting)
By the time the 1991 All-Star break rolled around, the Braves' mildly Cinderella-esque run as a surprise contender had pretty much ended. The young team that had been one of baseball's feel-good stori...

Some off-day Braves reading: Atlanta's daunting 13-game stretch to open the season went about as well as could be expected, maybe even better. Still, some questions remain. Here are five things to ponder after the first two weeks. www.mlb.com/news/questio...
mlb.com
5 questions after the Braves' first two weeks
The first two weeks of the 2026 season have gone much better for the Braves than the first two weeks of 2025. Last year, Atlanta started 0-7 and was 3-10 after 13 games. This year, they're 8-5, own the best ERA in baseball and are coming off a daunting stretch

The biggest key to the Braves' success this season may not be Walt Weiss, Ronald Acuña Jr., Chris Sale or even an iffy starting rotation. No, the linchpin to everything may be the newly bearded and flowy-haired Austin Riley. A breakdown: www.mlb.com/news/austin-...
