I like the 8-page folded mini zine concept. I use the free version of the Affinity design / DTP software. So I made 8-page mini zine templates (for both A4 and US Letter) for Affinity, and also found links to a bunch of useful resources. buxtonthered.com/projects/8pmz/ #zine #affinity #dtp
Two copies of the same "mini zine template" small folded document sit on a full size desktop computer keyboard. One shows the front cover, the other the back cover.

Front cover text: Mini Zine Template. A4, for printers that can do 5mm margin. Each mini page is A7. Front Cover.

Back cover text: Back Cover. Affinity template constructed by Buxton The Red, based on the common "8 page mini zine" idea. Web: BuxtonTheRed.com. No credit needed when using this template for your projects.

I managed to tie for top with some nob, after the reset.
A high score table titled "Biggest winning margins".

Three scores are visible. NOB with +59000, BTR (me) with +59000 also, and WEE with +55000.

I created this parody edit of the #Stonewall logo to express my frustration with that UK "LGBT+" organisation's recent decisions, actions, and general failure to be seen to be doing anything good for my trans friends. I waive all my rights in this image. Vector available on request. #lgbtq #queer
A parody of Stonewall's logo. The word "Stonewall", with the letter T rendered in a dashed outline to indicate its absence. A sad-face in the gap in the letter O. The double-L forms a negative-space arrow pointing downwards.

The timid hand-wringing is so very disappointing.

Fake book cover, "Did I Just Argue With A Joke?", man looking distressed in to a mirror.
Subtitle: "Part of a Bluesky educational series".

I have a new favourite internet thing: youraislopbores.me You can either ask, or you can LARP as AI to earn more credits.
Discussion with an apparent AI chatbot named "your ai slop bores me".

Prompt: Please suggest something nice and kinda-unique I can write in the Mothers Day card I'm doing. My mum has a sense of humour.

"AI" responded: Contratulations you birthed me

I figured out what I needed to make to replace the zip pull on my hoodie. It's a tiny piece of hope, something I can hold on to. When I lift up my hope it brings me comfort, even if that is just to zip up my jacket.
A small piece of white plastic hangs from a zip pull on a black jacket. The word "hope" is written vertically in purple with a green border.

This post is brought to you by insomnia and the Mamdani meme maker page. It is a message to myself. (See timeline for repost of a link to that page, in a moment)
Sleep for fuck's sake, rendered in the Mamdani campaign logo style

I didn't create this meme but it feels very appropriate right here.
The UK Labour Party logo but the word Labour is replaced with Capital.

Some very awkward juxtaposition of content on the BBC News website today.
Link to news video titled "Moment pyrotechnics set fire to North Macedonia club", immediately above link to article "Shut vile death video site, families say".

Yep, Apple are definitely killing ADP for UK users. I already had it turned on, which is good, because the relevant Settings screen now says it can't be offered in the UK to new users.
Apple iPad settings app, in the Advanced Data Protection section. At the top of the screen, an announcement reads "Apple can no longer offer Advanced Data Protection (ADP) in the United Kingdom to new users."
