Someone asked me about some opinions on Digimon evolution, and it reminded me of something I didn't put in the Metal Greymon video. Although Metal Greymon is mostly related to Greymon, early illustrations showed it with Airdramon-like wings instead of the current ones.

I think this is one of the strangest cases of localization mistakes I have seen in Digimon. During Cyber Sleuth, they localized Ouryuken as Blade of the Dragon King, which is fine. But Hacker's Memory swapped Ouryuken with the Gradalpha, but the localization kept the same name.

I was so concentrated on the MonMon and DigiDigi page that I completely missed that Koromon was also there with the early design. I only saw it in a CoroCoro magazine and even put a note mentioning that in the video, but I just missed that it was actually also in V-Jump 😅

btw if you only think btbrk is peak and good because it's dark: 1- unfollow me. 2- block me. 3- i don't care, i like btbrk because is was well written and managed to balance between dark and light parts nicely. i LOATHE the narrative that "dark content = good" and "light content = bad".

When I started working on this video, I thought I would only have to deal with timeline discrepancies. Still, the more I went into it, the more I noticed that many Digimon interviews contain information that directly contradicts each other and what we know to be absolutely true.

My next video will be about the creation of the very first Digital Monster. One thing I find niced is how this Tyrannomon model was used so much back in the day and is still used, especially to show the wireframe and Digicore. I wonder if they still have the original 3D model.

Please play Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition 2 games in one it includes all the old DLC contents (except for the Pre-order Agumon w/ goggles, but the rest is included) some specific evolution restrictions are also lifted iirc good OST and characters be a PI and a Hacker respectively

i know people have a major complaint about 02 not giving specific crests for Daisuke, Miyako and Iori... but HONESTLY? i like them having double-crests better than endlessly trying to find a trait they have in specific and have then realize "oh that's just their actual canon crests w/ another name"

Digimon Beatbreak feels different from other Digimon series. Things are getting darker, and more casualties have started to appear since the GIFT Arc. The darker it gets, the more excited the director is. The staff is always pushing as far as they can in a Sunday morning slot.

There were also some alternative jogress outcomes! The PenZ used a level system to measure care parameters, so if the digimon in question was too low level, it'd have a different outcome: XV-mon & Stingmon -> Dinobeemon Tailmon, Ankylomon, & Angemon -> their respective "natural perfects" (2/3)
