Spotted what I can only describe as this squadron of snails yesterday in the rain 🤷‍♂️
A picture of a wall and some flowers in front of it. In the middle of the picture there are three snails close together and travelling in the same direction, like they could be in a military arrow formation.

A lot to think through from the first day of Roffey Park OD conference, some great people and conversations. Session highlights for me have been thinking about multiple social identities we all have, the suits and cardigans of OD&D and leading generative change #RPOD23
A picture of a slide from the Roffey Park OD Conference titled ‘Social Identity’.

The slide lists 11 areas of social identity:
1. Ethnicity
2. Socio-Economic Status
3. Gender
4. Sex
5. Sexual Orientation
6. National Origin
7. First Language
8. Physical, Emotional, Developmental (Dis)Ability
9. Age
10. Religious or Spiritual Affiliation
11. RaceA workshop picture of the ‘suits’ or Organisation Design, covering themes such as Diagnostics, Operating Models, Control, RationalityA workshop picture of the ‘cardigans’ of Organisation Development covering themes such as Hope, Messiness, Relationships, Emotion, LossA picture of a slide from the Roffey Park OD Conference titled ‘The Generative Change Model’.

The model has six stages in a loop:
1. Identify the adaptive challenge
2. Reframe into possibility-centric purpose statement
3. Engage diverse stakeholders in generative conversations
4. Stimulate self-organised interventions
5. Learn from successes and failures
6. Scale up and embed successful probes
