Here are a few native bees from North America. I have been working on wide angle macro and that was the approach for the first two shots. The Two-spotted Longhorn Bee and Nomad Bee were sleeping. Common Eastern Bumblebee, Denticulate Longhorn Bee, Two-spotted Longhorn Bee, and Nomad Bee

(Bombus impatiens) - a stout, fuzzy bee standing in the middle of fading pink bee balm flowers.

(Melissodes denticulatus) - A small bee with very long antennae. It is drinking nectar from the middle of a bright yellow flower.

(Melissodes bimaculatus) - a stout black bee with fuzzy rear legs. It is standing on a leaf looking toward the camera. The bee had been sleeping and I work it up.

(Nomada sp.) - A bee with yellow patterned eyes and yellow mouth parts, a fuzzy black body, and striped abdomen. It has its mouthparts chomped on to a leaf and is sleeping.
