No question. Lived in the East and NYC is my Son’s home. I’ve had dealings with NYPD and they have been great. I understand some of the special tactics teams can be overzealous, but I’ve never had a bad experience. From asking directions to reporting crimes. Always a bad apple in a bunch.

Exactly. I don’t recall, (I lived in VA for years) who administrates DC Ellections? I’ll look it up. I would hope Maryland could get paid a flat fee for doing DC too? That would make sense to me. A state is needed. Or, give DC voting rights in Congress.

Yes. They have no voting representation. California also gives up lots of votes as Congress capped the number of seats. So, CA residents have more citizens per representative. Don’t see how that justifies the guarding of drop boxes in DC or anywhere. Yes the argument can be made, but it’s weak.
