We stand in solidarity with the people of Fiji, as they respond to the significant increase in new HIV infections. This is a difficult time for many individuals, families & communities, but it's important to remember that HIV is both preventable & treatable. www.nzdoctor.co.nz/article/undo...

We could be the first country to get to zero local HIV transmissions, but only if we come together and take action. Send a message to candidates from all parties in your area, asking them to back common sense policies that help us get to zero. www.burnettfoundation.org.nz/articles/new...

As an org working to support, protect, and advocate for our trans, gender diverse, intersex, takatāpui, and MVPFAFF+ communities here in Aotearoa, we are deeply concerned about the far-reaching impacts Legislation (Definition of Woman and Man) Amendment Bill would have.

Some good news for your day. HIV diagnoses in Aotearoa are down again! From 99 to 80, continuing a long-term trend thanks to better treatment & education. But, if we want to get to 0 transmissions by 2030, we have more work to do. Read more here: www.burnettfoundation.org.nz/articles/new...

It wasn't that long ago that NZ'ers came together to eliminate a virus using science and solidarity. Now we have a chance to do it again with HIV. The rate of new local transmissions has been declining, and we have a real shot at becoming the first nation to get to zero local HIV transmissions.
Text across the left half of the images that says "Imagine an Aotearoa with zero* new HIV transmissions. Small actions = real impact." On th RHS is a young Asian main in with a pink filter in the middle of a large white 0 that's part of the Zero by 2030 logo. Small text says *locally acquired.

AI is shaping how ppl seek out health info. They ask AI about HIV, the risks, testing & privacy. If not done right, AI can amplify bias, misinform & expose vulnerability. That’s why we're launching the Burnett Innovation Challenge. www.burnettfoundation.org.nz/articles/new...

Kia ora Aotearoa, we're now on BlueSky! And to kick things off we'd like to talk about some good news. Last week New Zealand officially signed the global U=U declaration. So what does it mean exactly? 1/4
