What happens if you shut down a game mid-save? Ask 10yo me, who lost 30+ hrs of FF9 to a lightning strike! Refactored my game's SaveManager this week: writes a temp file, swaps it in once done, keeps old save as backup. Worst case: minutes lost, not everything. #gamedev #indiedev #solodev #godot
