www.watc.wa.gov.au/media/4vtbsh... WA Iron Ore Royalties
The Western Australian Government’s iron ore royalty
receipts fell 17% to $8.6 billion in 2024-25.
The peak value of Western Australia’s iron ore royalty
receipts in a financial year was $10.8 billion in 2021-22.
• In 2024-25, iron ore royalties accounted for 87% of Western
Australia’s royalty receipts (excluding North West Shelf
grants).
• The WA State Budget 2025-26 forecasts iron ore royalty
income to fall from $8.6 billion in 2024-25 to $5.8 billion in
2028-29, based on the assumption that the iron ore price will
decline to its long-term average over the period.

The legal fraternity has done quite well out of the case. This list is barristers only, not counting the army of solicitors.

The Australian, with no trace of embarrassment about the behaviour of its journalist Ms Albrechtsen, continues to misreport the earlier findings of Kaye J. Drumgold was successful in obtaining a declaration by Kaye J that a reasonable person would apprehend Sofronoff to be biased against D.
The Australian: The ACT Integrity Commission probe was launched after Acting ACT Supreme Court judge Stephen Kaye last year found Mr Sofronoff's behaviour during the inquiry gave rise to a "reasonable apprehension of bias". However, he upheld the majority of Mr Sofronoff's
findings against Mr Drumgold.

The Australian tells us that a single person can have $972,500 in super+assets, earning $20k/yr in interest, and still receive a full pension of $30,646/yr. The pension in that scenario is substantially offsetting living costs, and preserving assets for the estate beneficiaries. Ridiculous.

- 12.9.2023 Insta: LR was 'continuously monitoring' Insta instead of 'just being a Senator'; - 20.1.2024 Insta: 'I won't be bullied' - 5.3.2024 Insta: 'I won't stay silent so you can stay comfortable'. Most media have avoided republishing any of these. I share for info only, not to endorse.

BusinessNews reports that Linda Reynolds has sued the Commonwealth and HWL Ebsworth for settling Higgins’ 2022 workplace compensation claim. Higgins’ claim was resolved pre-litigation so Ms Reynolds was not a defendant, but received benefit of a bar against future proceeding against her personally.

Congrats America. “The tariffs decrease US GDP by US$438.4 billion (1.45%). Divided among the nation’s 126 million households, GDP per household decreases by $3,487 per year. That is larger than the corresponding decreases in any other country.” theconversation.com/new-modellin...
Chart showing greatest detrimental impact of tariffs is on USA.
