Tech bros have objectively made my life worse. Sure, NFTs didn’t really affect me at all but crypto and the great GPU shortage? Now AI not only doubles down on that but brings even more ecological baggage and that’s before we even start on the ethical side of things.

That neon green really stood out. You walk into a game store and you can see the Syndicate box instantly. It was a tactic that they then replicated with Theme Park (the bright blue). It didn't matter what artwork they actually used in the end.

Yeah, we commisioned Fox to do the cover art but EA rejected it on the grounds that it was too dark. They then did their own version and slapped it on to that section in the green box. Whilst I don't think their art was anywhere near as good as Fox's original, their strategy was actually sound.

I don't trust the people pushing the tech. They're not doing it to make my life better or easier. They're doing it to make themselves rich. They too have previous in this arena. They're hooking a bunch of people on this snake oil which they're then going to exploit.

It's a trust thing for me. I don't trust GenAI to do the thing it has been asked to do. Why? Because it has previously shown on many occasions that it just straight up gets it wrong. Sure, humans may also mess it up, but you can talk to them and get it right the next time.
